CHAIRMAN

The chairman of the committee not only chairs the meetings, but has ultimate responsibility for the management of the pre-school.   The Manager reports to the chairman and the chairman takes part in appraisals of the senior staff, interviewing new staff and any management issues that arise.  The Chairman is supported by two Vice-Chairs, who are responsible for different areas of the Preschool.

TREASURER

The treasurer for the committee is responsible for maintaining accurate accounts and reporting back to the committee on income and expenditure, highlighting issues around cash flow and ensuring that the accounts meet all necessary legislation. The treasurer is also responsible for the payroll for the staff team.

SECRETARY

The secretary is responsible for taking minutes, producing the termly newsletter and writing any necessary letters for example requesting prizes for our regular raffles.

EVENTS TEAM MANAGER

The manager of the events team is responsible for organising fundraising events (along with the support of the rest of the committee!) and outings.

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

One committee member is responsible for the ongoing development of our IT systems – the computers the children use, our Internet and Extranet services along with the management of email.

RISK ASSESSMENTS

We have a committee member with responsibility for ensuring that our risk assessments are undertaken and up to date and comply with any necessary legislation – and reporting back to the committee.

POLICIES

One committee member is responsible for working alongside the manager and deputies in ensuring that all our policies are up to date and accurate – these are then signed off at a committee meeting by the chair and kept in the Operations Manual.

WELCOME PACKS

One committee member has responsibility for updating and producing our Welcome Pack which is given to each new family.
